FAQs

Are your nail care products suitable for all nail types?

Yes, our nail care products are formulated to be effective for all nail types, whether you have natural, artificial, or gel nails. They are designed to enhance nail health and provide the necessary support for strong, beautiful nails.

How can I maintain healthy nails with your nail care products?

To maintain healthy nails, we recommend using our comprehensive nail care products alongside our nail polish. Regular application of our nourishing treatments can strengthen your nails, promote growth, and prevent breakage, keeping them looking flawless.

What types of foundation do you offer?

We offer a selection of natural foundations, including organic and non-toxic formulas, designed for a smooth, radiant finish

What type of finish can I expect from your liquid foundation?

Our liquid foundation provides a smooth, radiant finish that enhances your natural beauty.

What does “12-free” nail polish mean?

12-free polish is formulated without 12 ingredients commonly flagged in conventional polish: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, triphenyl phosphate, parabens, fragrance, animal-derived ingredients and gluten. Nailberry, our hero brand for nail care, is 12-free and oxygen-permeable so water and air can still reach the nail.

Is fruit-pigmented makeup as long-wearing as conventional?

Modern fruit-pigmented formulas (like 100% Pure’s) wear 6-8 hours with primer — comparable to most non-luxury conventional foundations. The trade-off is colour intensity in deep shades; if you wear a foundation darker than W4 on most brands, layer two coats.

Can I wear clean makeup if I have acne-prone skin?

Yes — and often better than conventional. Mineral-based foundations don’t contain the pore-clogging silicones common in long-wear conventional formulas. Pair with our acne & blemish skincare for best results.

Why is Botā’s makeup edit so small compared to a mainstream beauty shop?

We only list brands that meet our clean standards and that we’d personally use. That rules out about 95% of what’s on the market. The trade-off is curation: nothing on this page is filler.
